Product Description

STAMFORD AS440 AVR is a standard on all UC224 or UC274 Stamford Cummins generator heads. The AS440 is an analogue, 2-phase sensing, self-excited automatic voltage regulator (AVR). The AS440 incorporates Surface Mount Technology (SMT) to its design.

The AS440 is supplied as standard to the STAMFORD S4 and STAMFORD HC5 alternators and is an option for the STAMFORD UC22 and UC27 alternators.

The AS440 offers an optional feature for paralleling with multiple generators. You cannot use this together with an EBS, use AS480. One unique feature is the power and voltage sensing circuits have independent terminals, allowing the excitation power to be derived directly from the stator winding or from an auxiliary winding if sustained short circuit performance is administered.
